The Investec FTSE 100 6 Year Defensive Deposit Plan is designed to repay your initial deposit and deliver a return depending on the performance of the FTSE 100 index.
♦ If the Final Index Level is higher than 100% of the Initial Index Level, you will receive back your initial investment plus 18%
♦ If the Final Index Level is equal to or lower than 100% of the Initial Index Level, you will receive back your initial investment plus 9%.
The use of Averaging to calculate the Final Index Level can reduce the adverse effects of a falling market or sudden market falls before maturity. Equally, it can reduce the benefits of an increasing market or sudden market rises before maturity.
